I was surprised when we moved into our new condo that there was no central vac. When I asked permission to install one, I was even more surprised to learn that no one in our 32 storey building had it! Why builders don't rough it in (especially in a "luxury" condo building) is beyond me. We use a cleaning service; they certainly prefer central vac, as do we. Being a handy guy, I found the Vacuflo system quite easy to install. It's even easier to live with: my wife's hair dryer makes more noise than the vacuum system. We love it.
